Brew Bus has been a favorite of ours since its opening and with The Eatery it’s now a one stop shop (bar). It’s a spot we love to frequent when we need a good local beer and quality time with friends and family. If you’ve followed me on Instagram for awhile now, you’ve even seen me cheers my beer to our friend’s daughters’ sippy cup (filled with apple juice people). Brew Bus is simply a no fuss, nothing flashy, clean (ya I said it) bar with good beer and nice people.
Owner Anthony Derby and his team were just missing one thing from their concept, food. This is where The Eatery comes in. My friend Elizabeth and I were invited to test out the menu and we were not disappointed. It’s not your typical sandwiches and fries bar menu. When I asked Chef Kasia Lavigne about her inspiration she said it derived from what she loves along with a little San Francisco flair. The portions might seem a little big, and well, they are. Chef Kasia wants you to order a few things and share. You go to a brewery to enjoy good beer, good conversation, and good food. She wants her cooking to reflect an atmosphere of community and friendship. Check out The Eatery now open: 4 to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, noon to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
